At the time of his selection, 6-foot-1, 185-pound senior designated hitter and right-handed pitcher compiled a 6-0 record on the mound with one save, a 0.35 ERA and 94 strikeouts, issuing just six walks in 40 innings, leading the Lions (25-5) to a berth in the Division III regional semifinals. The state’s No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2022 as ranked by Perfect Game and the nation’s No. 24 recruit by the Prep Baseball Report, Miller held opposing hitters to a .096 batting average and 78.3 percent of the outs he recorded via strikeouts this spring. He is rated by Baseball America as the nation’s No. 13 high school prospect in the upcoming July MLB Draft.
Miller has maintained a 3.26 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball on scholarship at the University of Louisville this fall, but is projected as an early round selection in July’s Major League Baseball Draft.
Miller has volunteered locally both as a youth baseball coach and a basketball referee.
