The 6-foot-1, 180-pound senior shortstop set a national single-season record with 89 base hits this past season, according to the National Federation of High Schools. Ranked as the nation’s No. 3 recruit in the Class of 2022 by Prep Baseball Report and No. 9 by Perfect Game, Holliday batted .685 with 17 home runs and 79 RBI, leading the Pioneers (29-12) to the Class 6A regional final. A 2021 Perfect Game All-American Game invitee and a 2021 Team USA 18U National Team member, he compiled a .749 on-base percentage and a jaw-dropping 2.141 OPS this spring, swiping 30 bases without being caught en route to scoring 74 runs.
Holliday has maintained a 3.32 weighted GPA in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball on scholarship at Oklahoma State University this fall, but is projected as an early round selection in July’s Major League Baseball Draft.
A devoted parishioner in his church community, Holliday has volunteered locally as a bible study leader with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He has also donated his time in association with Glennon Children’s Hospital in addition to serving as a youth baseball coach.
