Athletic Excellence

The 6-foot-3, 170-pound senior forward led the Trojans to a 20-2 record and a second straight Class AA state championship this past season. Klein scored 11 goals and passed for 13 assists including the game-winning tally in the final minutes of Garden City’s 2-1 win over Cornwall Central High in the state final. The Newsday All-Long Island Player of the Year, he was also the Nassau County AA-2 Conference Player of the Year and a United Soccer Coaches High School All-American.

Academic Achievement

Klein has maintained an A-minus average in the classroom. He has signed a written letter of athletic aid to play soccer at Providence College this fall.

Exemplary Character

A member of his school’s Science Olympiad team, he has volunteered locally at the Garden City Library, supporting community events in the children’s and young adult sections of the library. He has also donated his time as a basketball mentor and coach for children with intellectual and physical challenges.
