Athletic Excellence

At the time of his selection, the 6-foot-5, 206-pound senior guard had led the Tigers to a 25-4 record and a berth in April’s Chipotle Nationals. Harwell averaged 17.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.1 steals through 29 games. A McDonald’s All-American Game selection, he was a First Team All-Nike EYBL Scholastic League honoree and a member of the Naismith Trophy Award Midseason Team—all just one year after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. He’s ranked as the nation’s No. 8 recruit in the Class of 2025 by On3.com.

Academic Achievement

Harwell has maintained a 3.77 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a written letter of athletic aid to play basketball at the University of Houston this fall.

Exemplary Character

Harwell has volunteered locally with the Jr. NBA program and as a mentor for younger players in his AAU basketball program.
