The 5-foot-6 senior ranked among the nation’s top eight in four different events this past winter, including her state-record clocking of 37.76 in the 300-meter dash, which ranked as the U.S. No. 4 in 2020 and No. 10 in prep history indoors. The 2020 Baltimore All-Metro Indoor Track Athlete of the Year, Whittaker also ranked No. 5 nationally in the 500 (1:12.57), No. 6 in the 200 (23.93) and No. 8 in the 400 (54.84). She won the 55-meter dash along with the 300 and 500 at the IAAM Championships, and broke the tape in the 200 and 400 at the Hispanic Games.
Whittaker has maintained a 4.46 GPA in the classroom. She will attend the University of Pennsylvania, where she will compete in track and field.
A peer tutor in her school, Whittaker has volunteered locally on behalf of Our Daily Bread soup kitchen.
