The 6-foot-4, 320-pound senior guard recorded 109 pancake blocks and was the tip of the sword for an offense that averaged 39.7 points per game this past season, leading the Lynx (11-1) to the Class AAA state title. The nation’s No. 320 recruit in his class as ranked by 247 Sports, Parliament did not surrender a sack for a second straight season and helped Brandon Valley rush for 2,905 yards at a clip of 7.5 yards per carry. The state’s returning Gatorade Player of the Year, he will graduate as a three-time All-State selection and a three-time Riley Reiff SD Offensive Lineman of the Year honoree.
Parliament has maintained a 3.65 GPA in the classroom. He has made a verbal commitment to receive athletic aid to play football at the University of Iowa next fall.
Also a member of his school’s power lifting and trap shooting teams, Parliament has volunteered locally as a youth football and wrestling instructor and on behalf of a backpack food program for the underserved. He has also donated his time at a homeless shelter in association with his church youth group and has served with the Special Olympics and the Best Buddies International.
