The 5-foot-9 senior guard had led the Bulldogs to a 22-0 record and the quarterfinals of the Class 1A state tournament at the time of her selection. The state’s returning Gatorade Girls Basketball Player of the Year, Van Lith averaged 33.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, 4.8 steals and 4.7 assists through 22 games. A starter for the USA Basketball U19 Women’s World Cup Team, she was also MVP of the 2019 FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup. The leading scorer in state history for girls basketball, Van Lith is a four-time Caribou Trail League MVP and was the Class 1A state tournament MVP as a junior. She has been chosen to play in both the McDonald’s All-American Game and the Jordan Brand Classic.
Van Lith has maintained a 4.0 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball on scholarship at the University of Louisville this fall.
A math tutor in her school, Van Lith has volunteered locally on behalf of her church’s youth ministry as well as youth basketball camps.
