Athletic Excellence

The 5-foot-3 senior midfielder and forward led the Mustangs to a 24-3 record and the Southern Section, Division 2 Tournament championship this past season. Watkins compiled 28 goals and 10 assists, including one of each in a 5-1 win over Oak Hills High in the sectional title game. Watkins missed four games late in the regular season as she participated in the Tricontinental Cup with the U.S. Soccer Under-18 Women’s National Team. The Southern Section Division 2 Player of the Year, she concluded her prep soccer career with 45 goals and 38 assists.

Academic Achievement

Watkins has maintained a weighted 4.13 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to play soccer on scholarship at Duke University.

Exemplary Character

A member of the Mira Costa Symphony Orchestra, Watkins plays the piano and viola. She has volunteered locally with the Lend-A-Hand Club, which benefits the homeless in Los Angeles, and she has donated her time with the Friendship Foundation, a group that works with children with special needs.
