The 5-foot-4 senior won the 400-meter dash at the Class 4A state meet this past season, leading the Rams to a second-place finish as a team. Reid also finished second in the 200-meter dash and was a part of both the 4x100-meter relay and 4x400-meter relay gold-medal teams. Reid’s top 400 time of 53.64 seconds is a state record and ranked No. 14 in the nation among prep competitors at the time of her selection, while her best 200 time of 23.81 seconds ranked No. 22 in the nation.
Reid has maintained a weighted 3.64 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a national letter of intent to compete on an athletic scholarship at the University of Nevada Las Vegas this fall.
Reid has volunteered locally as a peer physics tutor and as a youth track coach. She has also donated her time to multiple community-service initiatives through her church.
