The 5-foot-9 junior sprinter/hurdler won the 400-meter dash and the 400-meter intermediate hurdles at the state Meet of Champions this past season. Ligor’s clocking of 58.97 seconds in the latter is a state record and ranked No. 8 nationally among prep girls competitors this spring. She also won the 400 dash and 400 hurdles at the Division 5 state meet, leading the Hornets to the team title.
Ligor has maintained a 3.88 GPA in the classroom. She will begin her senior year of high school this fall.
Ligor has volunteered locally with US Youth Soccer’s TopSoccer program, a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with physical or intellectual challenges. She has also donated her time as a youth track and field coach and camp counselor.
