At the time of his selection, the 6-foot-2, 190-pound senior right-handed pitcher and shortstop had led the Trojans (22-1) to the Class 4A state postseason sectionals. Grant compiled a record of 6-0 on the mound with a 0.76 ERA and 58 strikeouts in 37 innings entering the team’s postseason opener. Ranked as the nation’s No. 54 prospect in the Class of 2026 by Prep Baseball Report, he also batted .373 with 23 RBI, 17 runs and four home runs through 23 games.
Grant has maintained a 3.46 weighted GPA in the classroom. He has signed a written letter of athletic aid to play baseball at the University of Tennessee this fall, but is projected as an early round selection in July’s Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft.
Grant has volunteered locally as a youth baseball umpire and offers offseason instruction to younger players. He has also donated his time as the leader of a bible study group that includes other Center Grove students.
