The 5-foot-7 senior forward led the Harborwomen to a 21-0-1 record and a third straight Eastern Mass. Division 2 championship this past season. Hewins scored 38 goals and passed for 18 assists and scored the game-winner in Hingham's 2-1 win over Arlington High in the Eastern Mass. title game, marking the second time in three years she has scored the title-clinching goal. The Boston Globe Division 2 Player of the Year, Hewins is a three-time Patriot League All-Star and was the 2016 Patriot League Player of the Year. She concluded her prep soccer career with 95 goals and 55 assists.
Hewins has maintained a weighted 4.26 GPA in the classroom. She has made a verbal commitment to attend Princeton University, where she will play soccer, beginning this fall.
A four-year member of the Hingham High student council, Hewins has volunteered locally with a veterans group and as a youth soccer coach. "Eve has been the key to Hingham's success, no doubt," said David Floeck, head coach of Whitman-Hanson Regional High. "She is fast, skilled, relentless and a great finisher. I think what has been most impressive is how good she has made those around her."
