The 5-foot-7 senior forward led the Colts to a 24-4-1 record and the Kentucky state championship this past season. Mitchell scored 41 goals and passed for 14 assists as West Jessamine defeated the top four teams in the state in succession to advance to the title game. Mitchell tallied 12 goals and two assists in the Colts' eight-game postseason run to the championship. The Kentucky High School Girls Soccer Coaches Association's Miss Soccer winner, she concluded her prep soccer career with 103 goals and 54 assists.
Mitchell has maintained a weighted 3.44 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a national letter of intent to play soccer on scholarship at the University of Kentucky beginning this fall.
Mitchell has volunteered locally at a center for veterans and at a nursing home. She has also donated her time at a bakery that makes cakes for underprivileged children and as part of multiple fundraising campaigns to benefit cancer research. "I don't think West Jessamine has the success it had without Eva's impact on each game, especially the big ones," said Tim Nowak, head coach of Mercy High. "She had a great season."
