The 5-foot-10 senior setter led the Wildcats to a 57-3 record and their third straight Class A state championship this past season. O’Leary recorded 1,017 assists, 264 service points (with 79 aces), 218 digs and 150 kills in 89 sets of play. The MIVCA Miss Volleyball as well as Gatorade State Volleyball Player of the Year for the second straight time, O’Leary finished her high school career with a record of 190-11-1.
O’Leary has maintained a weighted 4.12 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to play volleyball on scholarship at the University of Michigan this fall.
A youth leader for the Wyldlife Camping program and a reporter for her school newspaper, O’Leary has volunteered as a coach for her local recreation department volleyball team. “I feel like she is one of the best all-around players I have ever seen at the high school level,” said Christy Thelen, head coach at DeWitt High.
