The 5-foot-5 senior guard had led the Cardinals to an 18-3 record and a berth in the Division I state tournament quarterfinals at the time of her selection. Carney averaged 16.7 points, 3.3 assists, 3.0 steals and 2.0 rebounds through 21 games as the Cardinals pursued their fifth straight state title. A 2018-19 First Team All-State selection, Carney was the 2018-19 Nashua Telegraph Player of the Year. She entered the state tournament with 1,118 career points.
Carney has maintained a 3.87 GPA in the classroom. She remains undecided upon a collegiate destination.
Carney has volunteered locally on behalf of fundraising campaigns to benefit ALS research, and she has donated her time as a youth basketball coach.
