The 5-foot-8, 120-pound senior won the AHSAA Class 7A state meet this past season with a time of 14:52.81, leading the Panthers to the team title. A three-time First Team All-State selection, Moore was the state’s top finisher at both the Great American XC Festival (6th) and the NXN Southeast Regional (7th). He clocked a 5K personal best of 14:41.57 last fall in winning the Dew It On The Trails Invitational.
Moore has maintained a weighted 4.04 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a written letter of athletic aid to run at the University of Virginia this fall.
A member of the National Honor Society, Moore has volunteered locally at First Baptist Church by assembling Sunday School bags in association with its youth group and serving as part of set-up and clean-up crews at various church functions. He has also donated his time with the Huntsville Track Club as an assistant at community road races.
