“Emmy is a nightmare to coach against. If Emmy were just the most skilled player on the field, you could lock her down with a good athlete. If she were just super-athletic, you could have a smarter soccer player shut her down. But the fact that she is both the fastest and most technical player on the field makes it impossible to gameplan for her.”

Head Coach - Lincoln-Sudbury High

Athletic Excellence

The 5-foot-4 junior midfielder scored 13 goals and passed for nine assists this past season, leading the Patriots (12-5-5) to the Division 1 state tournament semifinals. The Boston Globe Division 1 Player of the Year, O’Donnell is a member of both the U.S. Soccer Under-19 and Under-18 women’s national teams. Ranked as the No. 42 recruit in the Class of 2027 by TopDrawerSoccer.com, she was a United Soccer Coaches High School All-American selection and the Eastern Massachusetts Girls Soccer Coaches Association Player of the Year.

Academic Achievement

O’Donnell has maintained a weighted 4.29 GPA in the classroom. She has made a verbal commitment to play soccer at Duke University beginning in the fall of 2027.

Exemplary Character

O’Donnell has volunteered locally with the National Charity League, a mother-daughter organization whose members volunteer at area shelters, retirement communities and food pantries. She has also donated her time with A Shot for Life, a soccer exhibition fundraiser to benefit cancer research, and as a youth soccer coach and counselor.
