The 5-foot-7 junior sprinter swept the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dash events at the Class A state meet this past season, clocking a personal-best time of 12.15 seconds in the 100 and leading the Red Storm to the team title. Flaker owned the state’s best times in all three sprints this spring, and she also anchored the winning 4x400-meter relay quartet at the state meet. Her personal-best in the 400 of 56.06 seconds at the New England championships was good for a fifth-place finish.
Flaker has maintained an A average in the classroom. She will begin her senior year of high school this fall.
The treasurer of the Class of 2025 at Scarborough High, Flaker has volunteered locally as a youth basketball camp coach and she has donated her time to multiple community service initiatives through her school’s Key Club.
