The 5-foot-7 senior distance talent set a state record in the 3200-meter run at the Stanford Invitational this past season, clocking a time of 10:22.11 to rank No. 64 nationally among girls prep competitors this spring. In addition, Raker ranked No. 35 nationally in the 2-mile run (10:23.92) and No. 86 in the 1600 (4:49.45). Also the 2023-24 Gatorade Nevada Girls Cross Country Player of the Year, she took third third in the 800- and won both the 1600 and 3200 at the Class 5A state meet, leading the Grizzlies to fourth place as a team.
Raker has maintained a 5.55 weighted GPA in the classroom. She will attend the United States Air Force Academy, where she will compete in cross country and track and field, beginning this fall.
A winner of a President’s Volunteer Service Award for the past two years, Raker has donated her time locally at the Food Bank of Northern Nevada and with the Special Olympics. She has also served on behalf of The Holland Project, an arts, music and cultural community.
