The 6-foot-1, 160-pound junior left-handed pitcher and outfielder posted a 12-1 record with a 0.59 ERA and 126 strikeouts against just 20 walks in 59.2 innings pitched this past season, leading the Tigers (27-4) to the Class 2A state title game. A TSSAA Class 2A Mr. Baseball finalist, Loy also batted .422 with 34 RBI, 49 runs scored and 17 stolen bases, compiling an OPS of 1.206.
Loy has maintained a 4.0 GPA in the classroom. He has made a verbal commitment to play baseball on scholarship at the University of Tennessee beginning in the fall of 2023.
A devoted parishioner in his church community, Loy has donated his time preparing and delivering meals to disadvantaged families during the holidays. He has also volunteered by assisting the elderly with yard work and clean-up activities in addition to serving as a youth baseball coach.
