The 6-foot-1, 195-pound junior sprinter won the 100-meter dash at the New England Championships this past season with a time of 10.78 seconds. Gervais also swept the 100 and 200 at the Class A state meet, leading the Scots to an eighth-place finish as a team. He was undefeated in the 100 until the New Balance Nationals Outdoor, where he ran a 10.77 to place 35th in qualifying.
Gervais has maintained a weighted 4.08 GPA in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school his fall.
Gervais has volunteered locally with the Special Olympics and as a member of the Bonny Eagle High Unified bocce team, which pairs youth athletes with intellectually challenged peers in celebration of sport. He has also donated his time as part of multiple community service initiatives through his school’s National Honor Society.
