The state’s reigning Gatorade Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year, the 6-foot, 147-pound junior won the 1,600-meter run and the 3,200-meter run at the Division 1 state meet this past season, leading the Highlanders to a seventh-place finish as a team. Bosley also broke the tape in the 5,000-meter run at this month’s USA Track & Field Junior Outdoor Championships with a time of 14:32.75. He ranked in the top 30 in the nation among prep competitors in 2018 at the time of his selection in the 1,600, 3,200 and mile.
Bosley has maintained a weighted 3.55 GPA in the classroom and represents one of the state’s top academic candidates in meeting the Gatorade award’s broad criteria. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.
A member of the Homestead High National Honor Society, Bosley has volunteered locally as a youth running coach.
