The 7-foot-1, 265-pound junior center led the Rams to a 15-0 record and a Central Connecticut Conference championship this past season, averaging 27.3 points, 17.2 rebounds, 5.8 blocks, 3.1 assists and 1.2 steals per game. The two-time MaxPreps Connecticut High School Boys Basketball Player of the Year and the 2021 Hearst Connecticut Media Group’s GameTimeCT Boys Basketball MVP, Clingan has recorded 1,421 points and 1,002 rebounds in his high school career. Also a three-time Central Connecticut Conference Player of the Year, Clingan is ranked as the No. 44 overall prospect and the No. 7 center in his class by ESPN.
Clingan has maintained a 3.53 GPA in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.
An avid fisherman, Clingan has volunteered locally as a basketball coach at the Boys & Girls Club of Bristol. He has also donated his time as a Bristol Central Rambassador, helping incoming freshmen acclimate to the school.
