The 6-foot-5, 185-pound senior guard had led the Coursers to a 22-2 record and a berth in the Class 3A state tournament quarterfinals at the time of his selection. Clifford averaged 26.3 points, 13.7 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 3.5 steals and 2.8 blocks through 24 games as Vanguard sought to defend its state title. A 2019 Class 3A First Team All-State selection, he is a two-time Colorado Springs Gazette All-Area honoree. He entered the state quarterfinals with 1,616 points in his prep basketball career.
Clifford has maintained a 3.17 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball on scholarship at the University of Colorado this fall.
A Vanguard School ambassador, Clifford has volunteered locally at Penrose Hospital and has donated his time as a youth basketball coach.
