The 5-foot-6 senior guard had led the Saints to a 16-9 record and the Class 3A state tournament at the time of her selection. The state’s returning Gatorade Girls Basketball Player of the Year, Johnson averaged 29.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.7 steals and 3.5 assists through 25 games. The leading scorer—boy or girl—in Philadelphia prep history, she is a First Team All-State honoree and MVP of the Philadelphia Catholic League. Johnson was chosen to play in the Jordan Brand Classic and is ranked as the nation’s No. 6 recruit in the Class of 2020 by ESPN.
Johnson has maintained a 3.53 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball on scholarship at Rutgers University this fall.
Johnson has served as a mentor for young children and has volunteered locally on behalf of the Christopher’s Footprints Child Care Center.
