“What makes Devin special goes beyond his technical ability. He plays with a genuine passion for the game that’s visible from the opening whistle, and that energy is contagious among his teammates. More than that, he demonstrates real leadership on the field—organizing, communicating and elevating the players around him. That combination of passion and leadership is rare, especially at this level.”

Athletic Excellence

The state’s returning Gatorade Player of the Year, the 5-foot-9, 160-pound senior midfielder led the Raiders to a 13-0 record and a second straight Division I state championship this past season. Lee scored 12 goals and passed for a dozen assists as well, including one of each in Iolani’s 5-2 win over Punahou School in the state final. He repeated as both the Honolulu Advertiser Player of the Year and the Most Outstanding Player of the state tournament.

Academic Achievement

Lee has maintained a B average in the classroom. He has signed a written letter of athletic aid to play soccer at California State University, Fullerton this fall.

Exemplary Character

A member of the Iolani Global and Cultural Issues Club, Lee has volunteered locally as part of community beautification projects.
