Athletic Excellence

The 6-foot-4, 275-pound senior throws specialist swept the shot put and discus throw at the Division 2 state meet this past season, leading the Pointers to seventh place as a team. Taylor’s first shot effort of the season was his best—a 67 foot, 6 inch throw at the Coal Grove Open, which ranked No. 8 nationally among boys prep competitors this spring. His personal-best discus effort of 191-2 at the Division 2 District Meigs High meet ranked No. 52 nationally.

Academic Achievement

Taylor has maintained a 3.92 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a written letter of athletic aid to compete at the University of Tennessee this fall.

Exemplary Character

Taylor has volunteered locally at the South Point Hall of Fame Dinner and as a youth track mentor and coach.
