“In my opinion, Lile is the best bat-to-ball hitter we’ve seen in Kentucky … maybe ever. He has a mature approach at the plate and excellent hand-eye coordination. His body balance is exceptional, and I think he’ll be a high selection in the 2021 (Major League Baseball) draft. I think he’s hands-down the best high school baseball player in Kentucky.”

Athletic Excellence

The 6-foot-0, 195-pound junior outfielder followed up on an outstanding 2019 season by leading his Canes National club team to the Perfect Game 17-and-under World Series title last summer. Lile made the All-Tournament Team, batting .541 with three doubles, two triples and a home run, driving in 11 runs, scoring nine and stealing two bases. A Perfect Game 2020 Preseason All-American, Lile also led the Canes to the World Wood Bat Association crown this past October, again earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team. In the 2019 high school campaign, he slugged .839 en route to an OPS of 1.457. The nation’s No. 52 prospect in the Class of 2021 as rated by Perfect Game and the No. 41 prospect by Prep Baseball Report, he is batting .536 with runners in scoring position for his prep career and owns a 5.75-to-one walks-to-strikeout ratio.
