The 6-foot-2, 205-pound senior right-handed pitcher and outfielder led the Diggers (22-4) to the 4A state championship this past season. McInelly batted .558 with 41 RBI and led the state with 14 home runs while scoring 44 runs. He posted a record of 8-0 on the mound with a 0.31 ERA and 69 strikeouts, issuing only 14 walks in 45.2 innings.
McInelly has maintained a 3.75 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a written letter of athletic aid to play baseball at Utah Tech University this fall.
McInelly has volunteered locally with his high school government class in a program called Operation Merry Christmas, helping to raise more than $20,000 for food and gifts to families in need during the holidays. He has also donated his time to help elderly people in his community with yard work through his church youth group.
