The 6-foot, 185-pound senior forward scored 15 goals and passed for seven assists this past season, leading the Cougars (10-6-2) to the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association state tournament semifinals. Selected to play in the High School All-American Game in North Carolina in December, Egbo has also participated in a training camp with the Under-17 Nigerian National Team. He is rated as the No. 74 recruit in the Class of 2017 by TopDrawerSoccer.com.
Egbo has maintained a weighted 3.04 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a national letter of intent to play soccer on scholarship at the University of Akron beginning this fall.
A head waiter in the Kiski School dining hall, Egbo has volunteered locally as a youth soccer coach. "David has the rare combination of size, speed and technical ability," said Owen Finberg, head coach of South Kent (Conn.) School. "He is a tremendous athlete who can power by defenders with strength or accelerate past them with a great first step."
