The state’s returning Gatorade Player of the Year, the 5-foot-8 senior outside hitter and setter recorded 284 assists and 250 kills this past season, leading the Tigers (13-3) to the Class A state semifinals. A three-time SMAA Class A Conference MVP, Emerson is a two-time Class A Player of the Year and a two-time Portland Press Herald State Player of the Year. She concluded her prep volleyball career with 538 kills.
Emerson has maintained a weighted 3.82 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to play volleyball on scholarship at Plymouth State University this fall.
Emerson has volunteered locally with Special Surfers, a non-profit organization that provides people with special needs the opportunity to surf during the summer. She has also donated her time as a youth mentor and volleyball coach.
