“Dani's prolific track and cross-country achievements reflect her relentless commitmentMiss Danielle ("Dani") Jones has achieved a prolific range of "on-the-field" accomplishments. Her three (3) 2013 state track-&-field championships (800-m run, 1,600-m run, and 4 x 800-m relay), for example, preceded her outstanding 2013 interscholastic cross-country season. Dani extended the aforementioned track-&-field accomplishments with an undefeated season of Arizona high school cross-country competition in addition to subsequent All-Region and All-American achievement through the Nike Cross National (NXN) high school championship events. Collectively, Dani's prolific track and cross-country achievements reflect her relentless commitment, unyielding competitive intensity, and, more generally, her pursuit of absolute excellence in all her academic and co-curricular endeavors. Dani's most impressive, engaging "off-the-field" qualities do indeed include the previously referenced commitment, intensity, and pursuit of excellence. Notwithstanding such outstanding qualities, I am most impressed by Dani's unique commitment to her teammates. I recall so vividly a special moment during the previous summer in which Dani emphasized to me that her most intense desire was to contribute to a state team championship for all her teammates and, in particular, for her senior teammates and friends. Dani Jones is a young lady who embodies and lives a life characterized by a truly unique, unparalleled altruism that fundamentally motivates all her pursuits. While Dani is clearly a gifted and accomplished athlete, her future is unequivocally a special future in which she uniquely, positively impacts many lives in a truly lasting, profound manner. It remains my most distinct privilege to coach and know this incredible young lady.”
