The 6-foot, 190-pound senior shortstop batted .557 with 16 doubles, seven home runs and 28 RBI this past season, leading the Raiders to a 23-5 record and the double-elimination Class 5A state tournament, where they fell in three games. The state’s No. 3 prospect as ranked by both Perfect Game and the Prep Baseball Report, Macias also stole eight bases, scored 42 runs and reached base at a .632 clip, striking out just seven times in 95 plate appearances.
Macias has maintained a 3.73 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball on scholarship at Oregon State University this fall.
A devoted parishioner in his church community, Macias has volunteered locally on behalf of the Special Olympics and as a youth baseball coach.
