The 6-foot, 180-pound senior quarterback led the Rams to a 13-0 record and the Class 6A state championship this past season. Newman passed for 2,671 yards and 31 touchdowns, adding 714 yards and 15 scores on the ground. He amassed 442 yards of offense and three TDs in Central Catholic’s 49-21 win over Tualatin High in the state final. A three-time Conference Player of the Year, he also led the Rams to the 2021 state title.
Newman has maintained a 3.78 GPA in the classroom. He remains undecided upon a collegiate destination.
A member of the Rams Football Leadership Council, Newman has volunteered locally with the Big Yard Foundation, which benefits those who live in disadvantaged communities.
