The 6-foot-5, 195-pound senior forward led the Timberwolves (21-0) to the Class 5A state title and the No. 2 spot in the United Soccer Coaches Fall 2024 National Rankings this past season. Alvarez scored 38 goals and passed for 19 assists, averaging 2.7 points per game. Ranked as the Heartland Region’s No. 26 prospect by Top Drawer Soccer, he is a two-time USC All-American and played for the West squad in last fall’s High School All-American Game. He concluded his prep soccer career with a school-record 89 goals.
Alvarez has maintained a 3.41 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a written letter of athletic aid to play soccer at Drake University this fall.
Alvarez has volunteered extensively on behalf of local youth basketball and soccer initiatives, including an eight-week summer agility camp.
