The 5-foot-7 senior raced to the Class 5A individual state championship this past season with a time of 17:24.7, leading the Darts to second place as a team. Wayment also won the Region 2 championship, the Bob Firman Invitational and the Murray Invitation
Wayment has maintained a 3.65 GPA in the classroom.
A devoted member of her church community, she has volunteered locally on behalf of youth sports programs and Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
