The 5-foot-10 senior outfielder and first baseman led the Huskies (49-10-1) to the Class 7A state championship this past season. Goguts batted .618 with 91 RBI and 109 runs scored and posted an on-base percentage of .712. Ranked as the nation’s No. 82 prospect in her class by Softball America, she also led the country with 29 home runs, according to MaxPreps, and stole 32 bases.
Goguts has maintained a 3.53 weighted GPA in the classroom. She has signed a written letter of athletic aid to play softball at the University of Mississippi this fall.
Goguts has volunteered locally with a church clothing drive and by offering softball instruction to youth players. She has also donated her time operating game clocks and working the entrance gate at sporting events.
