The 5-foot-11, 170-pound sophomore shortstop had led the Mavericks (23-10) within one win of a berth in the 6A state championship game this past season. Schneidt batted .422 with 29 RBI, 43 runs scored and 15 extra-base hits. He was the 6A Southern Idaho Conference Player of the Year and was also named to the 6A postseason All-Tournament Team.
Schneidt has maintained a 4.0 GPA in the classroom. He will begin his junior year of high school this fall.
Schneidt has volunteered locally as a peer tutor for special needs students. He has also donated his time as a youth baseball coach, offering individual lessons to young players.
