The 6-foot-2, 130-pound middle-distance and distance talent won the national title in the 800-meter run at the RunningLane Track Championships, clocking a state-record time of 1:49.75, which ranked No. 28 nationally among prep boys competitors. He competed in three events at the Class 7A state meet to lead the Eagles to sixth place as a team, winning the 800, taking third in the 1600 with a personal-best 4:12.93 and scoring with a sixth-place finish in the 400.
Jeffcoat has maintained a 3.47 GPA in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.
He has volunteered locally on behalf of the OTM youth track program and is a devoted parishioner of his Church of the Highlands congregation.
