4A State Champion

2nd

UNM Lobo Invitational
“Colin is the consummate student-athlete."Colin's progression from a mid-back-of-the-pack 7th grader in the middle school program to a three-time varsity athlete and eventual state individual and team champion is the result of his incredible self-motivation and dedication to his craft. Very early in his running career Colin made the choice to commit himself to year-round running, demonstrating great self-discipline and the ability to set long term goals. Academically, Colin's record is beyond noteworthy. In addition to his high GPA, by the time he graduates, he will have completed 3 honors and 10 Advanced Placement courses, including taking AP Art History as a self-study course. He scored a perfect 5 on each of the five A.P. exams he took last year. His ACT and SAT are both in the 99th percentile and scored perfect 800s on the SAT Math portion as well as SAT II subject areas tests in Chemistry, Math II, and French. Finally, Colin has been very involved in the school community. He has been president of both National Honor Society and the environmental club. He serves as a cross country representative on our athletic director's Captain's Table. In addition, Colin helped organize the first ever "field day" at one of the local elementary schools. He solicited snacks from the local food co-op, recruited other high school volunteers, garnered media coverage and on field day organized the races. Colin is the consummate student-athlete.”
