The 5-foot-4 junior middle distance and distance talent won Division 2 state titles in the 800-, 1,600- and 3,200-meter run this past season, and was part of the second-place 4x400 relay quartet, leading the Wolves to the Division 2 state championship. In the USA Track and Field-sanctioned Brian Young Invitational, an All-Division meet of the state’s top athletes, Mullin broke the tape in the 800 with a personal-best time of 2:12.19. She also took first in the 1,600 in 4:58.40.
Mullin has maintained a 4.0 GPA in the classroom. She will begin her senior year of high school this fall.
A member of the Sitka High robotics team, Mullin has volunteered locally as a youth soccer coach for Sitka Rush Soccer, offering instruction for players in kindergarten through fifth grade. She also served as a coach at a one-day, female-led soccer clinic for girls this past winter.
