At the time of his selection, the 6-foot-5, 190-pound senior guard had led the Trojans (25-3) to a berth in the 4A state tournament. Wiggins averaged 21.4 points, 8.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.6 steals while connecting on 41.6 percent of his 3-point attempts through 28 games. A First Team All-Lake Conference selection also was named the Minneapolis Star Tribune Player of the Year.
Wiggins has maintained a weighted 3.88 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a written letter of athletic aid to play basketball at Iowa State University this fall.
Wiggins has volunteered locally with the Wayzata Breakfast Club, an every-other-week meeting of Wayzata students with a focus on, “food, fellowship and faith.” He has also donated his time to a local food pantry.
