The 6-foot-1, 195-pound junior shortstop and right-handed pitcher led the Bulldogs to a 19-3 record and a trip to the Class 4A state semifinals this past season. Hacopian batted .539 with 12 home runs, a school-record 41 RBIs and 39 runs scored. An individual highpoint came when he blasted a walk-off grand slam when the Bulldogs were down three with two outs in the seventh inning against Wheaton. On the mound, he posted a record of 8-0, with one save along with an ERA of 1.15, striking out 55 batters in 41.2 innings pitched.
Hacopian has maintained a 3.78 GPA in the classroom. He has made a verbal commitment to play baseball on scholarship at Wake Forest University beginning in the fall of 2023.
Hacopian, along with his teammates, has volunteered locally with Kids in Need during the holidays, buying, wrapping and donating gifts to local families in need. He also has donated his time as a teaching assistant in an Autism Resource Services class at Churchill.
