The 6-foot-1, 175-pound senior forward led the Rebels to a 23-1 record and the Division II state championship this past season. Mader scored 34 goals and passed for 19 assists, scoring eight goals and dishing seven assists in five postseason games. He recorded eight game-winning goals and seven assists on game-winners over the course of the season, giving him goal-involvement in 15 of the team’s 23 wins. He also holds the school record for single-season goals with 42, which he accomplished as a junior. A two-time state Offensive Player of the Year, he graduated as a two-time First Team All-State selection.
Mader has maintained a weighted 3.41 GPA in the classroom. He will attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette this fall.
Mader has volunteered locally with FootNet Food Bank, an organization that seeks to reduce hunger in the Greater Acadiana area. He also donated his time as a youth soccer coach.
