Athletic Excellence

The 6-foot junior outside hitter led the Mighty Macs to a 38-1 record, the Class 4A state championship and the No. 1 national ranking by PrepVolleyball.com this past season. Niego tallied 498 kills, 473 digs, 69 blocks and 25 service aces while posting a kill percentage of .478 and a hitting percentage of .387. A MaxPreps First Team All-American, she recorded 57 kills and 59 digs in the Mighty Macs' four-match state tournament run to the title.

Academic Achievement

Niego has maintained a weighted 4.0 GPA in the classroom. She has made a verbal commitment to play volleyball on scholarship at the University of Notre Dame beginning in the fall of 2018.

Exemplary Character

Niego has volunteered locally preparing meals for families at the Ronald McDonald House as well as serving and feeding area homeless. She has also donated her time as a youth volleyball coach.
