The 5-foot-8 junior outside hitter led the Sun Devils to a 24-1 record and the Class 4A state championship this past season. Kelly tallied 301 kills, 216 digs, 66 service aces and 24 blocks while posting a kill percentage of .595 and a hitting percentage of .516. A member of the Albuquerque Journal All-Metro First Team, Kelly is a three-time First Team selection in her competitive class. She concluded her junior year with 810 kills and 500 digs in her prep volleyball career.
Kelly has maintained a 3.56 GPA in the classroom. She will begin her senior year of high school this fall.
Kelly has volunteered locally as a peer tutor as well as a youth volleyball and basketball coach. She has also donated her time as part of multiple initiatives via the Helping Hands Community Service Club. "Cat is an incredible athlete and she has been since I first started coaching against when she was an eighth grader," said Jeanne Fairchild, head coach of St. Pius X High. "She is a force to be reckoned with and has absolutely been the dominating force for Sandia Prep."
