The 5-foot-9, 140-pound senior earned All-American honors in the mile at Nike Outdoor Nationals this past season. Cutting took sixth in the event with a time of 4:05.38, which ranked No. 15 nationally among prep competitors in 2023. A transfer from Corner Canyon High in Utah, Cutting finished fifth in the 800-meter run at the Brooks PR Invitational in 1:48.98, which ranked No. 9 nationally. He also swept the 800 and 1500 events at the Class 5A state meet, leading the Wildcats to a fourth place finish as a team. His personal-best 1500 clocking of 3:46.18 this spring ranked No. 5 nationally.
Cutting has maintained a weighted 4.17 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete on scholarship at Brigham Young University this fall.
Cutting has volunteered locally as a youth running coach and he’s donated his time to multiple community service initiatives on behalf of Young Life, a faith-based ministry.
