The 6-foot-4, 200-pound senior guard and forward averaged 24.0 points and 8.1 rebounds per game this past season, leading the Wildcats (22-5) to the Division 1 state quarterfinals. Ryans also averaged 3.5 assists and 1.8 steals and connected on the game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer in the regional final to advance Northview to the state quarters. A two-time First Team All-State selection, he is a two-time Grand Rapids Press Player of the Year and a finalist for Michigan’s Mr. Basketball award.
Ryans has maintained a 3.29 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a written letter of athletic aid to play basketball at Western Michigan University this fall.
A two-year member of the Northview High student council, Ryans has volunteered locally with the Special Olympics and as a youth basketball coach and referee.
