At the time of his selection, the 6-foot-4, 240-pound senior catcher had led the Eagles (15-5) to the state postseason tournament. Righi batted .491 with six home runs and 30 runs scored, producing a .642 on-base percentage, 1.036 slugging percentage and a 1.678 OPS. He also stole 26 bases on 29 attempts and posted a .600 isolated power percentage. A two-time Class L All-State selection in both baseball and football, he’s ranked as the No. 19 prospect in Connecticut’s Class of 2025 by Perfect Game and No. 20 in New England by Prep Baseball.
Righi has maintained a 4.0 weighted GPA in the classroom. He has signed a written letter of athletic aid to play baseball at the University of Connecticut this fall.
A National Honor Society member, Righi has volunteered locally with Wethersfield Little League as a camp instructor.
