Athletic Excellence

The 5-foot-11, 195-pound senior left-handed pitcher had led the Yachtsmen to a 13-0 record at the time of his selection. Guarino owned a 6-0 record with a 0.18 ERA through 13 games, striking out 50 with just four walks in 38.1 innings pitched. A three-time First Team All-Conference honoree, he was also named to the Maine Sunday Telegram All-State Team and has compiled a 28-2 record in his varsity career.

Academic Achievement

Guarino has maintained an A average in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball on scholarship at the University of New Haven this fall.

Exemplary Character

Guarino has volunteered locally on behalf of youth baseball leagues, the Big Buddy program, an animal shelter and the Garbage to Garden curbside composting initiative.
